As captivating as the house is, it's glories are certainly rivalled in the exotic beauty of the tropical gardens where pleasing areas abound for quiet repose.

Perhaps the most beautiful of these areas is beside the ancient spring after which the house is named.

In the dappled shade of the lush plants water trickles from the moss covered rocks into a pool alive with darting carp, colourful goldfish and Koi.

The large, plant-covered, front terrace with views of the national park and river, also has comfortable dining and seating areas.
